Be Careful What you Wish For - Pigeon Roost

I've always heard that saying - be careful what you wish for: you just might get it. This is a story of me getting what I wished for and it will take some time to tell. But hopefully it will be interesting to follow. I'll skip the boring parts, I promise.

It all started some years ago when Chuck and I were driving somewhere in downtown Chattanooga. Our route - probably to the North Shore - took us off MLK and on to Market Street. We drove by the old Loveman Department store, sad and dilapidated, but which now sported a sign: "Condos for Sale. Enjoy downtown living."

I sighed and said, "I would love to live there." And thus an intention was set and a wish set in motion. The funny thing is that Chuck says he does not remember this at all. I remember it as clearly and as vividly as if it just happened a few moments ago. I can taste the texture of the day, gray and cold and hear the sounds of the city in my ears.

Fast forward about 10 years: guess where I live? 800 Market St. Suite 508. Just like that. Magic. Well, not really. A lot of hard work, some synchronicity and smiles from the universe, but it happened. I feel extremely fortunate that it did.

My view.
But that's just the preface to the story.
